Somme Battlefields: a cosy B&B near Albert on the A26/A1

Retrace the footsteps of the soldiers and visit the sites of important activity during the Battle of the Somme and other strategic actions. The B&B is close to Péronne and Albert with their fascinating and very different war museums, it’s close to the Thiepval Franco-British Memorial, close to Arras, as well as the Newfoundland Memorial Park with its preserved network of trenches.

If required, your hosts are able to organise a battlefield guide to help uncover the lesser known spots and to really put into perspective the battles, results and sacrifices made in these fields. Your Somme Battlefields Partners vouchers will give you reduced prices to many of the museums etc.

Come evening, you can return to the B&B to relax and put up your feet. On Friday or Saturday night, if reserved in advance, Sylvie will share some local specialties such as ficelle picarde (ham and mushroom crepes in a cream sauce) or velouté d'endives (chicory velouté) and during the week she offers a more simple yet tasty meal.
