It’s little wonder a mobile home at Camping de la Trye is such a popular choice. For the parents it’s a great place to lap up all the joys of camping in the great outdoors (with none of the hassles of bringing a tent!) plus it’s 2-bedroomed, beds are made up for your arrival and there’s a well-equipped kitchen. Meanwhile, for the kids, the mobile home is a great base from which to enjoy a little more fun and freedom than usual, not least throwing themselves into all manner of activities, and wait for it… there are a lot!

Included in the cost of your stay is unlimited access to the pool, trampolining, table football, pétanque, outdoor games and table tennis, plus there are extra activities all available for a small fee: pedal go-karting, 4-wheel ‘Rosalie’ biking and tennis.

As if all that’s not enough, the added bonus of this deal at Camping de la Trye is that there are 2 activities thrown into the price of your stay: half a day’s bike hire for you to head off into the Hez forest just at the edge of the campsite PLUS a second activity for the kids, which is a choice of a 1-hour pony-and-cart ride, or a pony ride (2 ponies, not accompanied by staff), both care of Polly and Choupinette, the campsite’s resident ponies.

And if you end up heading off site to explore the surrounding area (though with all this fun on site be prepared for the possibility the kids may not want to!) there’s the town of Beauvais to discover, the Cariwood activity centre for zip wiring, or the Plan d’Eau du Canada lake for a spot of paddleboarding.

All this with some family feasting still to look forward to! Breakfast is included (just top up with croissants and pains au chocolat from the snack bar), and there’s a barbecue just in front of your mobile-home so that you can cook and eat outdoors as the sun goes down. Round it all off with a great night’s sleep – of that you can be pretty sure with all this fresh French air!

The perfect family day out in France can be found at Parc Saint Paul amusement park. With great rides and amusement for all ages (even the very small), this is a great option for families. Better still, unlike other amusement parks, here there are large picnic areas and a supermarket where you can grab what you need for an inexpensive French lunch. The entry fees are really reasonable and you will definatly get your monies worth. A great place to pass a day with kids.
